Basic Design
Sunday, March 05, 2000 - updated by Laser Ray @ 08:13 PM EST

I have the basic design for my campaign completed and I have begun work on Mission 1. I am updating this from my relative's computer so I have no time to explain in full detail. Catch you all later.

New MODs
Sunday, March 05, 2000 - updated by Ice Heart @ 05:40 PM EST

I have just completed several MODs. One is a ships.tbl and a hud.tbl which adds all of the FS1 ships to FreeSpace 2 and allows most of the original fighters and bombers to be used as well. Please note that I only did those tables, Dark did the work with the model files, the skins, and the interface art. For my set of tables to work, you'll need to have all of Dark's models, skins, and interface art.
Also, I have recently finished an Anubis Mk II. It has afterburners and a slightly better countermeasure capacity. Though it is still a rather weak ship, it is much more effective than the original Anubis. I also will release the FS1 version of the ship, which the FS2 version is based upon.
Finally, the GTVB Morta, a new Terran-Vasudan bomber using the Seraphim model, has been completed. It is being released as a package with two new weapons: the Scatter Bomb and the Phalanx Cannon. The Scatter Bomb fires four rounds like a hornet, each round doing about one quarter the damage of a Cyclops, the idea is that with multiple rounds there is a higher chance of at least a few of them making it past defenses when fired at a long distance. The Phalanx Cannon is much like the Tempest missile, only it has a much higher payload and rate of fire. It does less damage per round, but its extreme rapid fire helps make up for that.

I'm busy now...

I have taken up a project for a new Terran fighter...a recon unit, actually. I may have my hands full with this one so I hope this post will stop all incoming e-mails. :-)

Special thanks to Xanadu for setting up the news script!
