Mission 35: Apocalypse

Mission Objectives:
Primary Objectives:
Defend as many fleeing GTVA vessels as you can
Preferred loadout: Ship: Carried over from Clash of the Titans II
Weapons: Carried over from Clash of the Titans II

Walkthrough: Let me just start off by telling you that this mission is practically all bomb and bomber intercept, so I hope you're good at it! Immediately as you jump in, you'll see the convoy of ships being attacked by multiple Shivan bombers and cruisers. More specifically, you'll see Sagittarius (4 Nephilim), Cancer (4 Nahemas), and Gemini (4 Nahemas too). Your loadout is also carried over from the past mission, so make sure you rearmed during the last mission, or you'll be short on missiles when you need them. Anyways, if you still have some trebuchets fire them at the closest bombers, and get there ASAP, or some ships will bite the dust, and you don't want that to happen . These bombers will attack the Mentu cruiser, so if you can try and protect it. If it goes down, well, that's not that big of a loss. Also, all of these initial wings will respawn atleast once. Off in the distance, you'll see the GTVc Lemnos, a Deimos corvette duking it out with a Rakshasa cruiser. The Lemnos should destroy the Rakshasa without a problem, but watch out for bombers going up against the Deimos. You really want to try and save the Deimos throughout the whole mission. You'll see why later

After the first 2 Vasudan transports leave the area (forgot their names, oops), 2 Cain Cruisers jump in, the Bain and the Melchom. See, now you know why you need to keep the Lemnos alive! It will make quick work of both of the Cain cruisers, giving you more time to work on Scorpio wing (5 Dragons). As the second wave of transports jump in, Libra wing (4 Taruvis) will jump in near the transports. If you haven't finished killing the two cruisers, leave your wingmen to it and try and take out the Taurvis yourself with your trebs and tempests. After you destroy Libra, you'll have a little window to rearm while the 2nd convoy jumps out. As the 3rd convoy emerges, Leo (4 Seraphim) and Virgo (4 Nephilim) will wreak havoc on this convoy. Order all fighters to protect one of the Lambda transports, because that's what the Seraphim go for. Leo and Virgo will respawn once each. But, when the clock nears 11 minutes, or when you destroy Leo wing the 2nd time (whichever one comes first), put full power into your engines and get to the node ASAP. As the Herophilos (A Hippocrates I think) gets to within about 1:30 of jumping out, the nova usually begins. It's best to jump out atleast 25 seconds left on the clock, so it will give you ample time to get safely in the node. Once you jump out, you can watch the last two cutscenes in the game.

On a side note, you could have just stayed in the node, but hat wouldn't have been fun, would it?
