Mission 18: The Sicilian Defense
Mission Objectives:
Primary Objectives:
Destroy all Rebel Warships
Preffered loaduout: Ship: Artemis D.H.
Weapons: Prometheus S, and all banks with Cyclops bombs
Walkthrough: As soon as you jump in, you'll see the Vindicator, an Orion destroyer, and the Venture, an Argo transport just sitting there, minding their own business. Order all fighters to attack the Venture, while you commence your attack on the Vindicator. The Venture should go down rather quickly, and once it does order all fighters to attack the Vindicator. About halfway through your attack, the Hyskos, a Sobek corvette will jump in and help you with your attack. Also, Epsilon will jump in and reinforce your position. Once you take down the Vindicator, the Yoshitomo, a Deimos corvette will jump in. With Alpha wing bombing and the Hyskos providing beam support, you should make quick work of it. During this time, some Hercs and other fighters will jump in. Make sure some don't come out of nowhere and destroy you, so watch your back.
After the Yoshitomo is destroyed, the NTC Alba, a Leviathan cruiser will jump in with 4 Ulysses fighters for escort. If all of Alpha is destroyed, there is a chance that Delta wing, consisting of 4 Artemis bombers will jump in and help you. Anyways, just attack the Alba from the front if you want the kill, because most of its weapons are in the back, and let all other fighters cover you. Last up will be the NTC Epigoni, an Aeolus Cruiser. Like before, this ship is all about anti-fighter beams and flak, so order all fighters to take it out, and the Hyskos too. The Epigoni will have 4 Ulysses for escort, so watch out if they get a bead on you. Once the Epigoni is destroyed, you can return to base.
